Biography
Lucy is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she pursued her BA in Sociology and Environmental Studies. While at Sarah Lawrence, Lucy found her passion for serving students in the college application process through her roles as a campus tour guide and senior interviewer. Following her graduation, Lucy served as an Assistant Dean of Admission at Hamilton College for two years, where she worked in partnership with Hamilton students as a tour guide supervisor. Lucy is excited by collaborating with and learning from students at Barnard and works to engage with critical initiatives surrounding college access.

Fun Facts
Why did you choose to work at Barnard?
As an alum of a historically women’s college, I’ve always known that I wanted to be a part of an environment that was built with women in mind. I love Barnard’s community and location and am motivated by the college’s mission of education and empowerment.
What is your favorite book?
How much time do you have? Some of my favorite books at the moment include Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, Bunny by Mona Awad, and The Body is Not an Apology by Sonya Renee Taylor. I am also an avid fan of children’s literature, so I’d be remiss not to mention The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart.
What is your favorite thing to do in NYC?
My mom is a visual artist and elementary school art teacher, so I feel most at home taking in all of the art that the city has to offer. I love exploring museums, but especially love fueling up at a cafe with a bagel and iced latte before a day of museum hopping.
What is your favorite place on campus?
I love the quad! It is such a calming space in the midst of the hustle and bustle of NYC.

I am a Pisces!
